Lares trek to Machu Picchu

35 km later I am tired, but so happy with what I have been able to see. The Lares trek was amazing. It was so incredibly hard at around 4700 meters,. I was gasping for air, huge headache and just felt horrible. Even with all that you defiantly get a sense of accomplishment for being able to push your body past it's comfort zone. All in all the trek was amazing and I managed to snap some nice pics!

Acclimatizing in Cuzco!

Acclimatizing in Cuzco

I arrived in Peru two days ago. The trip has been really interesting si far. Terrifying cab rides and trying to get used to a higher elevation. I had a first rough day in Cuzco yesterday, but am feeling a lot better today. Still out of breath when I walk up stairs. Tomorrow the trek starts and I am super excited. We met with our guide Jimmy today. He seems like a great guy and I am super excited to get out there trekking. Here are some pic's from today. Everything is edited on my iPad!
